About Measure M

Some of our school classrooms are over 60 years old and are past due for repairs and upgrades to maintain student safety and quality instruction for local students.
Measure M provides funding for critical updates to school roofs, flooring and siding to give students a warm, safe and dry learning environment.
By law, all funds from Measure M must be spent to improve Alta Sierra Elementary School, Arete Charter Academy, Cottage Hill Elementary School, and Magnolia Intermediate School and cannot be taken by the State.
There is nothing more important than protecting our children while they are at school. Measure M will provide funding to implement the latest safety and security measures in our school, as well as improve the drop-off/pick-up areas to protect kids from traffic.
Funding & Impact
Measure M is designed with accountability at its core. Funds generated by this measure stay local, are subject to mandatory public reporting, and cannot be used for administrator salaries. This ensures every dollar goes directly toward the safety and quality of our children's learning environments.
Independent Oversight Committee
A mandatory citizens' oversight committee will be formed to review all expenditures and ensure they align with the project list.
Mandatory Annual Audits
Annual performance and financial audits are required to verify that funds are spent legally and efficiently.
No Money for Salaries
The law strictly prohibits using Measure M funds for school administrator salaries or benefits.
Student Safety Upgrades
Direct investment in emergency communication systems, security cameras, and fire safety infrastructure across all district campuses.
